Two
years ago, on this day, we were wed... It hasn't been that long that we've been married; Yet in this span of time I've seemed to shed The skin of whom I was, so coarse and carried. You've made my life so rich and full of meaning-- Once used to solitude, alone I'm lost; Without you I am merely half a being, At your side I shall stay at any cost. Like creatures in the wild, I do adapt, Responding to the atmosphere surrounding; With you, in warmth and comfort, I've been wrapped-- It's made my new shell soft and ever thinning.
